Job Title: Road Transport Agent

This position reports to the Regional Ground Network Services Manager, Ground Network Operations Manager, Ground Network Supervisors, and Lead Agents. The Ground Network Services (GNS) agents support the execution of the GNS by managing daily truck operations and ensuring the smooth flow of GNS shipments through the network. Various work schedules may be required for this position, including late afternoon and evening, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Schedule: This position is for a 4 on 4 off pattern, with shifts from 18:00 to 06:00 and 06:00 to 18:00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
  • Optimize route planning and truck utilization
  • Interact with customers (internal and external) to arrange shipments and meet customer service standards
  • Contribute to and maintain a good relationship with suppliers
  • Meet compliance with regulations, internal and external, in accordance with government regulations
  • Understand department process flow and look for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are in place
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company's procedures
  • Timely communication and escalation of problems to Management when necessary

Requirements:

  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English
