Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarder to join our team at ALS Recruiting Ltd. As a Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the import and export of goods from various global locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import and Export Management: Manage and oversee the import and export of goods from various global locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Collection and Transportation: Organize the collection process with designated transportation firms, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
  • Client and Partner Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients, branch offices, international agents, and transportation providers to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Order Tracking and Invoicing: Oversee order tracking, invoicing, and managing pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
  • Customs Clearance: Handle Customs entries as required, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Shipments and Delivery: Monitor shipments until final delivery, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Job Costing and Invoicing: Manage job costing and invoicing duties, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least two years' experience with a UK-based freight forwarding company.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and practical experience with freight-related software such as Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
  • Skills: Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 per annum.
