Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Optometrist to join our team at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Optometrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Optometry Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in an extended role capacity in various ophthalmology clinics, including Medical Retina, Glaucoma, Cataract, and External Disease.
  • Provide refraction services, including adult and pediatric care.
  • Conduct low vision clinics for adults and children.
  • Perform retinoscopy and other optometric procedures.
Requirements
  • Post-qualification hospital experience of over 3 years.
  • Experience in extended role activities.
  • Community shared care experience.
  • Ability to deal with quality and safety issues.
Qualifications
  • BSC Optometry and registration.
  • MSc in Optometry/Ophthalmology.
