Exciting Opportunity as a Warehouse Operative

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Warehouse Operatives for a prominent global provider of educational materials. This position is a temporary ongoing role with a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, with the potential for additional hours on Saturdays.

Role Overview

This is a full-time position requiring commitment to regular hours. The pay rate starts at £11.44 per hour, increasing to £11.64 after 12 weeks of service. Overtime is available at a rate of £13.37 per hour on weekdays and Saturdays, with Sundays compensated at £17.82 per hour.

Working Hours

The working hours for this role are fixed from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Your Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operative, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Receiving and unloading deliveries, including container destuffing.
  • Recording stock in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Cross-referencing supplier documentation with the WMS and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Operating and taking responsibility for all equipment utilized.
  • Sorting and processing all incoming goods.
  • Inspecting goods for any damage upon arrival.
  • Organizing paperwork as necessary.
  • Collaborating with team members to meet departmental KPIs.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be capable of working independently as well as part of a team, with the ability to thrive under pressure. Proficiency in IT is preferred, although experience in a similar role is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
