Automotive Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Accountant to join our dynamic Accounts department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take their career to the next level within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
• Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations.
• Generate reports and analyze profit and loss statements.
• Assist with statutory tax reporting, including GST, LCT, FBT, and PAYG.
• Manage cash flow effectively.
• Implement and maintain internal controls.
• Support external audit preparation and requirements.
• Prepare manufacturer reports.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounts department team.
• Collaborate on projects as directed by the Financial Controller.
• Communicate effectively with Group Managers and employees across various departments.

• Proven experience as an Accountant for a minimum of two years in a similar role.
• A recognized accounting qualification, such as CPA or CA, or an Accounting Degree (highly desirable).
• Experience within the automotive dealership industry is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
