HSSE Specialist

Job Title: HSSE Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSSE Advisor to join our team at InterGen (UK) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Spalding plant is kept accountable and complies with our HSSE Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a system is in place to identify legislative changes and communicate updates to employees.
• Be the focal point for and communicate effectively with all legislative bodies, including local authorities, the Environment Agency, and the Health and Safety Executive.
• Liaise with the HSSE Regional Manager to ensure the company and Plant HSSE KPIs are achieved and the Plant remains compliant.
• Collate, collect, and analyze incident and near miss reports and records; prepare reports and communicate findings.
• Undertake and support incident investigations and RCA investigations on site and share lessons learned.
• Monitor and provide reports on key metrics such as safety statistics and environmental performance.
• Audit and test site emergency preparedness with drills and exercises to test response.

Requirements:

• Strong background in health and safety and Environmental legislation and regulations.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and integrated management systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others within the HSSE team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
• Highly motivated individual with a passion for acting as a site champion for HSSE initiatives and our Safety at Heart value.
