Climate Tech Investor Relations Specialist

Main Objective:

Brinc Ltd. is seeking a skilled Climate Tech Investor Relations Specialist to secure investment for our Climate Tech portfolio companies. This role involves growing our network of global Climate Tech investors, actively managing and engaging with our Climate Tech investor network, and coaching startups on fundraising strategies.

Key Skills Required:
  1. Investor Relations and Networking:
    • Networking Skills: Ability to grow and maintain a robust network of global Climate Tech investors, including VC funds, impact investors, family offices, angel investors, and corporate venture capitalists (CVCs).
    • Relationship Management: Proficient in managing and engaging with investors to understand their investment thesis and match them with relevant portfolio companies.
  2. Fundraising Strategy:
    • Fundraising Expertise: Experience in coaching startups on fundraising strategies, including pitch coaching, preparation of investor materials, reviewing data rooms, building investor pipelines, and navigating investment documents.
  3. Project Management:
    • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage relationships with external partners that support startups in fundraising, such as syndicates, financial advisors, and design agencies.
    • Program Management: Ability to manage the post-program fundraising efforts for Climate Tech portfolio founders.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Data Management: Ability to collate and analyze data on the Climate Tech portfolio for reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Reporting Skills: Skilled in preparing comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate portfolio performance and fundraising progress.
  5. Ecosystem Cultivation:
    • Ecosystem Development: Capability to cultivate relationships with other value-add ecosystem partners such as corporates, governments, research institutes, media organizations, and grant providers to support the broader Climate Tech ecosystem.
  6. Industry Knowledge:
    • Climate Tech Understanding: In-depth understanding of Climate Tech industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Sustainability Advocacy: Passion for sustainability and the ability to advocate for and support Climate Tech startups in achieving their goals.
  7. Strategic Thinking:
    • Strategic Planning: Ability to think strategically about how to position portfolio companies for investment and how to grow the investor network effectively.
  8. Additional Desired Skills:
    • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and investment analysis.
    • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with using CRM systems, investor databases, and other relevant tools for managing investor relations and fundraising activities.
    • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Passion for Climate Tech: Genuine interest and passion for climate technology and sustainability.
