Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will oversee the on-site execution of civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations and project specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and enforcing Health and Safety standards, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any incidents.
  • Managing both subcontractors and direct labor in a multi-disciplinary setting, including procurement and oversight, while facilitating weekly progress meetings.
  • Ensuring all mandatory inspections are performed, fulfilling the duties of Temporary Works Coordinator and Lifting Operations Coordinator, and upholding the Construction Phase Plan.
  • Developing and maintaining quality assurance plans, implementing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and contributing to monthly client reporting and progress discussions.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A solid understanding of NEC3 Contracts, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
  • Proven experience in managing civil engineering contracts.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSCS/EUSR, SMSTS, CITB Temporary Works, CSCS Appointed Person, and IOSH/NEBOSH.

Skills:
You should demonstrate excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a strong capacity to monitor and report on program and financial metrics. A proactive approach to challenging standards to enhance quality and value is essential.
