Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at NET CS, a leading consultant in the design and implementation of macro cellular communications coverage systems for mobile phone operators.

Role Purpose
  • To assist in tendering telecommunication site builds, managing variations, and issuing and agreeing final accounts.
  • To support the management of Acquisition and Design costs and collaborate with Acquisition Surveyors and Designers commercially throughout each project.
  • To manage supplier and subcontractor costs, purchase orders, and variations.
  • To assist in managing client valuations and invoicing.
  • To provide end-to-end commercial support from Tender to Final Account.
Responsibilities
  • To support the pricing of mobile telecommunications sites, including rooftop, street works, and bespoke solutions such as installations within historic buildings, in collaboration with the Commercial team.
  • To contribute to delivering financial targets as set out by the Senior Management team.
  • To capture variations and issue Final Accounts for approval, liaising with client QS's until agreed.
  • To negotiate and agree tenders with supply chain partners (Subcontractors and suppliers).
  • To negotiate and agree Final Accounts with Subcontractors, reporting cost value analysis to the Commercial Manager.
  • To manage client expectations.
  • To support Build Managers in making cost decisions.
  • To promote and comply with health and safety within the workplace to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and others.
  • To be able to operate all relevant IT systems required to efficiently produce documents and manage contracts.
  • To visit sites nationally if required.
  • To maintain internal databases and reports up to date and produce reports for the Commercial Manager.
Qualifications/Experience
  • General computing knowledge.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Working to an HNC or Higher Degree in Quantity Surveying or applicable qualifications is preferable.

Site visits may be required. While relevant training will be provided, the candidate should be physically capable of fulfilling such tasks.
