About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Worker to join our team at Advance. As a Care and Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs to live the lives they choose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as required
- Support with preparing and cooking meals
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments
- Engage in social activities and support independent skills
- Perform domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
- Keep accurate records and update care plans as required
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be:
- Compassionate and empathetic towards individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and able to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Willing to learn and develop skills in areas such as medication administration and personal care
- Able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies
