We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Assistant to join our team at Aeropeople Ltd. As a Store Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing the timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing parts and aircraft components.
Main Responsibilities- Receive and inspect all incoming goods and materials to ensure they meet company standards and procedures.
- Log all incoming goods and aircraft components on our internal IT systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Ensure rejected goods and parts are quarantined and labelled, and that the Team Leader is informed about the discrepant condition.
- Meet all Customs procedures and processes to comply with UK and Global Legislation.
- Issue approved parts, materials, and special tooling to Workshop Technicians, accompanied by the necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory using computerized systems, including purchased parts, manufactured parts, materials, tools, etc.
- Ensure material is removed from store before it's due to expire.
- Adhere to all Company standard operating procedures and health and safety procedures.
- Meet Stores quality and housekeeping standards.
- Previous experience in the Aviation Sector or bonded warehouse environment.
- IT literacy with the ability to use Word and Excel, and a willingness to learn industry software packages.
- A team player with a willingness to learn, disciplined, with an eye for detail, and a self-starter.
- A current forklift license is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience in dispatch procedures would be advantageous but not essential.
- Able to lift 25kg unassisted.
