Role Responsibilities:
As a Senior Systems Administrator, your key duties will include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving intricate technical issues to uphold service quality, collaborating with users, technical staff, and vendors as necessary.
  • Providing expert 3rd Line support to both operational and project teams, ensuring effective problem resolution and adherence to best practices.
  • Executing complex configurations, installations, and modifications of servers, storage solutions, and communication platforms for ongoing operations and projects.
  • Establishing and enforcing standards for configurations, tools, and technology products.
  • Maintaining thorough system documentation, including standards, security measures, procedures, and configuration specifics.
  • Utilizing management software and analytical tools to gather system metrics, model performance, and produce reports, including recommendations for enhancements and capacity planning.

Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated leadership and staff development experience within a technical support environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create detailed reports and deliver presentations effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to convey technical information clearly to all levels of staff.
  • Outstanding documentation skills, ensuring clarity and logical presentation of information.
  • Proven planning and organizational capabilities to fulfill project and business objectives.
  • Extensive technical expertise in a variety of Server, Storage, and Networking technologies at a 3rd Line Support level.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT security best practices, particularly in relation to MOD standards and accreditation processes.
  • Significant experience with Windows Servers, virtualization technologies, enterprise storage solutions, and other infrastructure technologies in large-scale environments.
  • Familiarity with supporting Cloud technologies.
