Job Description

Anderson Knight is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Design Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our growing order book and contributing to the development of our utility network design and connections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and validate electricity distribution network designs produced by third-party contractors
  • Design and develop new connections activities, including tendering and quotation production
  • Manage project delivery and finances, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical support
  • Mentor and manage Technical Coordinators and Graduate Engineers, providing guidance and oversight
Requirements:
  • Minimum of HNC in an engineering-related discipline
  • Excellent IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and commercial documentation
  • Experience with commercial/in-house design and CAD software
  • Desirable: design experience with utilities LV, 11kV, and 33kV networks, practical knowledge of new roads and streetworks regulations, and experience with CDM regulations
