About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor to join our team at Equal Resourcing Ltd. As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting and advising on all aspects of health and safety, environmental management, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the operational team on health and safety, environmental management, and risk assessment.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Work closely with the Head of the department to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements to the SHEQ department.
  • Conduct site inspections and manage audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent future incidents.
  • Review and update risk assessments to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on health and safety, environmental, and wellbeing issues to ensure a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.
  • Internal and supply chain audits to identify areas for improvement and develop reports on findings.
  • Stay up-to-date with new legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure the organization remains compliant.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the construction or utilities sector, with a strong background in health and safety, environmental management, and risk mitigation.
  • Hold a relevant degree and a recognized qualification in occupational health and safety, such as NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma or NVQ Level 6 Diploma.
  • Hold an environmental qualification and be a member of a professional body, such as IOSH.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license.
