Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit an experienced Public Law Solicitor. The successful candidate will join a highly respected team that has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results in civil liberties and judicial review cases.

The Public Law Department has a strong reputation for its expertise in immigration and civil liberties challenges, and the team is recognized as a leader in its field by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500. As a Public Law Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, including NHS and local authority challenges, policies, practices, and decisions made by the Immigration and Asylum Tribunals, and bail decisions.

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of Public Law work, including challenging non-immigration issues such as data protection and housing. The role will also involve preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency, preparing draft documents, and attending conferences and court.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Public Law, with experience in managing a caseload and supervising junior colleagues. You will have excellent client care skills, a professional approach, and a commitment to business development and marketing. The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with a clean, valid Practicing Certificate and a strong understanding of the Legal Aid Guidance for Public Law matters.
