Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team within the Waltham Forest Rehabilitation Services.

The successful candidate will have a passion for rehabilitation and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

The role will involve working flexibly to assist in the effective and efficient delivery of the service, utilizing a range of skills and experience gained in clinical practice to perform specialist assessments and formulate treatment plans.

The post holder will be responsible for assessing the physiotherapy needs of patients presenting with complex diagnoses and symptoms, and providing patients and relatives with information and education to promote dignity, independence, and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and be willing to supervise Physiotherapy students or junior members of staff.

As part of the Waltham Forest Rehabilitation services, we can offer:

  1. Regular clinical and managerial supervision from experienced physiotherapists.
  2. A programme of In-service training.
  3. Training and development opportunities.
  4. A dedicated AHP Preceptorship programme.
Main Responsibilities

To work flexibly and assist in the effective and efficient delivery of the service.

To perform specialist, comprehensive assessments using clinical reasoning skills and assessment techniques to formulate a treatment plan based on clinical findings.

To assess the physiotherapy needs of patients presenting with a range of complex diagnoses and symptoms.

To provide patients and relatives with information and education to promote dignity, independence, and quality of life.

To work within the context of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with other team members and with external agencies.

Current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.

Demonstrate a clear interest in working in the field of rehabilitation.

To carry out specialized Physiotherapy assessments and interventions for patients with complex needs.

Manage a caseload of patients using evidence-based practice.

To establish, evaluate, and modify appropriate treatment plans, recognizing own limitations and seeking advice when necessary.

To select and apply physiotherapy assessments or outcome measures for a designated caseload.

Have good time management skills and be able to prioritize and work on own initiative.

Be able to work autonomously in a safe manner in service users' homes and within a rehabilitation unit.

Demonstrate flexibility, good communication skills, and ability to work as a team member.

Willing to supervise Physiotherapy students or junior members of staff.

Demonstrate evidence of Continuous Professional Development.

Be computer literate and have knowledge of data protection.

The ability to travel efficiently across Waltham Forest.

To work as part of a team covering a 7-day rota.
