Job Title: Financial Accountant

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Wirral (Hybrid Working)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Sellick Partnership. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to inform decision-making and financial management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with budget holders and stakeholders to provide expert financial advice and guidance on financial matters.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with budget holders, understanding their objectives, and translating them into financial plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective financial controls and processes.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for assigned teams, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Analyse financial data, identify trends and variances, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Requirements:

  • A recognised accountancy qualification or part qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
  • Proven business partnering skills.
  • Previous experience within a commercial or property environment (desirable).
  • Previous asset management experience (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
