Job Summary

Alkegen is seeking an experienced Operations Director to support the General Manager and Senior Director of Operations in driving financial results and mitigating risks across the Business Unit. This role will play a key part in due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, as well as the integration of acquired companies within Alkegen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Profitable Growth: Analyze financial data, make decisions through a financial lens, and drive results to achieve short-term and long-term financial targets.
  • Create Alignment and Accountability: Set the vision and strategy for Plant Managers, gain alignment, and excel in execution. Integrate newly acquired companies into the Business Unit to maximize value.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Lead by example, take informed risk, and drive business objectives. Influence and network to drive results in a matrix organization.
  • Enhance Organizational Talent: Build a highly engaged organization, develop leadership across disciplines and cultures, and drive a performance mindset.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10-15 years of related experience in Manufacturing and Operations Management, particularly in continuous operations and capital-intensive operations.
  • Track record of safety dedication and driving/supporting safety improvements.
  • Experience in collaborating with Labor Unions, supply chain, quality, safety, engineering, planning, and logistics activities.
  • Practical application of Lean, Total Productive Maintenance, and/or Six Sigma tools.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement and cost savings results.
  • Experience working to prioritize capital projects and establishing an annual business plan.
  • Financial analysis of operational performance.
