About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Modelling Specialist to join our team at Draken Europe. As a key member of our bid team, you will be responsible for providing financial modelling support across a variety of bids and business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support bid submissions, including those with significant financing arrangements.
  2. Liaise with the wider business to gather input into costs, ensuring accurate estimation, phasing, and risk assessment.
  3. Provide business partnering services to support cost estimation, applying a rigorous and healthy challenge to ensure costs are complete and required.
  4. Ensure accurate allocation of central overheads in financial models and adherence to relevant financial accounting standards.
  5. Assist with researching taxation and corporate frameworks for international bids to ensure costs of doing business overseas are fully understood.
  6. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure financial models are aligned with company policies and procedures.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication of financial information.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in financial modelling and accounting.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with demonstrable accounting experience and strong intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel/financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, with the drive to understand complex, multi-faceted scenarios from a financial perspective.
  • Able to present and communicate financial information to both Finance and non-Finance colleagues.
  • Experience in a deadline-driven environment where quality must be maintained.
