The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality evidence-based practice clinical and operational healthcare, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and working in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver safe and effective services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct accountability for the provision of high-quality evidence-based practice clinical and operational healthcare.
  • Strong people management skills, leading by example and supporting the team to deliver high-quality services to patients.
  • Accountability for the delivery of the contract and monitoring performance against KPIs.
  • Working in partnership with all key stakeholders, including Directors, Deputy Directors, and other Heads of Healthcare.
  • Delivering services safely and within budget.
  • Engaging and working collaboratively with patients to improve their experience and deliver high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Registered healthcare professional with current appropriate registration, e.g., Nurse with NMC membership.
  • Previous experience working in a prison environment and current vetting.
  • Experience at Senior Level in a management operational role within a healthcare environment, working in a complex environment with multi-health professions.
  • Knowledge of the effective application of the Health & Social Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the government's offender health agenda.
  • Understanding and application of confidentiality.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Experience of leading teams in complex environments.
  • Experience of effectively managing a service working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
