House of Fashion Associates Ltd is seeking a talented and passionate Mid-Weight Menswear Activewear/Sports Designer to join our growing team in Manchester.

We are an established online premium menswear brand with a strong presence in the outdoor market through both wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels. As we continue to experience significant growth, we need a skilled designer to contribute to our success.

About the Role

This on-site, full-time position requires an individual with proven experience in activewear design and a deep understanding of color, fabric, and construction. You will play a key role in developing innovative and commercially successful collections for our brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research on new colors, trims, and fabrics, creating inspiring mood boards.
  • Generate seasonal trend reports to inform design direction.
  • Design exciting seasonal collections that align with research findings and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with key accounts on special merchandise unit (SMU) packs.
  • Produce detailed sketches, technical drawings, and tech packs using Adobe Illustrator, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effectively communicate design specifications to the product development team, ensuring seamless translation of ideas into tangible products.
  • Provide valuable input on sample fit during the development process.
  • Mentor junior team members and support senior designers as needed.
Required Experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working for a sportswear or menswear brand.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the activewear and outdoor apparel market.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong collaborative abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
