We are in search of two dynamic and seasoned Lead Operations Managers to spearhead transformation within our AO operations processes and establish a distinct centre of excellence.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee a segment of our Centre Operations function within the operations team. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational performance and upholding high standards across our comprehensive processes, ensuring compliance with both business and regulatory obligations. You will be joining us during a critical phase as we reshape our operations team, forming specialized centres of excellence that align our priorities for optimal outcomes.

You will play a key role in building, training, and developing our centre operations teams, ensuring that our processes are both streamlined and effective. As we navigate this period of transition, your expertise will be crucial in fostering a positive reception to change, supporting and motivating the team, and providing appropriate training. Your ability to identify opportunities for process improvements will be invaluable.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager for Centre Options, you will be accountable for a team comprising Operations Managers, Technical Leads, Coordinators, and Administrators.

This position is office-based, with occasional travel required for internal and external meetings. Remote work arrangements are not available for this role.

As a vital member of the operations management team, you will contribute significantly to our strategic direction, workforce planning, and the cultivation of a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, while promoting a commitment to continuous learning and development within our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team providing second-line operational support, addressing complex inquiries related to learners, qualifications, and assessments.
  • Manage the comprehensive exam and assessment evidence return process, ensuring timely internal marking and moderation.
  • Ensure effective communication management with centres, including data collection, approvals, results delivery, and analysis of rules of combination.
  • Responsible for the complete exam marking processes via online and e-marked platforms, collaborating with assessment teams and managing exceptions.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in an operations management capacity.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to provide daily guidance and support to a diverse, multi-location team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in risk and issue management, capable of assessing risks and collaborating with teams to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
