Salary: £33,581 to £40,111
Hours: 37 hours per week

Are you passionate about environmental conservation and eager to contribute to one of the UK's most cherished landscapes? The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) is seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Nature-based Solutions Officer.
This position is crucial in advancing our innovative initiatives aimed at unlocking private investment for ecological restoration. As part of our commitment to addressing the pressing challenges of biodiversity loss and climate change, you will play a key role in implementing strategies that promote nature recovery.
Our ambitious goals include creating 13,000 hectares of new habitats by 2030 and achieving Net Zero status by 2040. We are looking for a results-oriented individual to enhance our nature-based solutions (NbS) efforts, ensuring the establishment of high-integrity environmental projects across the National Park.
The Environmental Improvement Plan sets forth the challenge of raising significant funds from the private sector to support these initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in establishing nature markets and driving transformative change.
Supported by funding from DEFRA, Environment Agency, and Natural England, this role will also involve leading our Voluntary Biodiversity Credits sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, a commitment to environmental sustainability, and the ability to build enduring relationships with clients across diverse sectors.
