Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our High Security and Safety Group based in Portobello, Willenhall, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all contractual and commercial aspects of allocated projects to maximise revenue and profit.
  • Support the tendering and negotiation process through commercial experience, contractual understanding, and risk management strategy.
  • Evaluate proposed customer contract terms to determine risk and opportunity, and support the negotiation process to achieve favourable changes to terms.
  • Generate, control, and monitor project budgets in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
  • Identify, evaluate, and agree additional charges for work required or undertaken that are outside the prescribed and agreed scope of works or contracted terms.
  • Prepare and submit interim payment applications for completed works in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in using online project management packages such as Viewpoint, Bravo, Conject, etc.
  • Post-contract cost control experience.
  • Experience with tendering an advantage.
  • Ideal candidates will also have experience with ERP software packages, a background in project management, and/or a degree in analytics, computer science, or similar.
