About the CAD Team Lead Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Team Lead to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a team of CAD technicians to deliver technical drawings and BOMs to our manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage team performance through effective KPIs, including lead time achievement and NCR performance.
  • Own and manage the library of BOMs, ensuring strict change management and revision control.
  • Produce BOMs for new work, ensuring a clear feedback process to the Commercial Team.
  • Lead value engineering projects to design-out cost through material/method/specification selection.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a Mechanical Engineering degree or significant experience working in a technical capacity in a manufacturing/engineering environment. You will also have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Requirements:

  • Experience in developing a team to improved performance.
  • Working knowledge of technical drawing software, including 2D & 3D.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technical projects.
