Role Overview:
In this role, you will be part of a collaborative Framework Joint Venture, contributing to a significant portion of capital investment initiatives. You will be responsible for the ownership and management of project plans, ensuring that the project team adheres to timelines and addresses any delays or deviations effectively.
Your leadership will extend to mentoring a team of junior planners, establishing yourself as a knowledgeable resource eager to share insights and foster development within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans in alignment with Alliance standards, ensuring all methodologies are consistently applied.
- Ensure project plans encompass the complete project scope, with resources appropriately allocated.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the project plan, monitoring critical paths and advising the team on necessary adjustments.
- Create 4D animations of project plans to facilitate digital rehearsals of construction processes.
- Design and implement effective communication strategies to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged with the project approach.
- Maintain adherence to planning standards and published processes across the Alliance.
- Uphold Health & Safety standards throughout all planning activities.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess demonstrable experience in civil engineering or construction projects, particularly within the water sector. Proficiency in P6 is essential.
Experience in leading collaborative planning efforts, with the capability to interpret drawings for efficient planning services, is required.
Strong communication skills are crucial for conveying complex information to diverse audiences, especially under tight deadlines. The ability to adapt to changing project objectives while supporting team members is highly valued.
