Maintenance Caretaker Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • React to maintenance duties across the site, undertaking repairs and reporting issues that require specialist attention
  • Undertake building checks and audits to maintain a safe and secure environment in line with health and safety requirements
  • Carry out routine works and provide accurate and timely information on progress
  • Maintain an adequate supply of stock and replenish as appropriate
  • Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and cleanliness is maintained
Requirements:
  • Experience within a caretaking or cleaning role is essential
  • Practical skills in identifying and/or carrying out standard repairs
  • Working knowledge of health and safety
  • Good communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service
  • Ability to interpret written instructions, maintain simple written records, and assess priorities to then plan work schedule effectively
  • Travel is a requirement of the role; therefore, a full valid driving licence is essential
