About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of financial processes and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and distribute sales invoices on a monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Generate and distribute customer statements, chasing debts and reconciling accounts as necessary.
  • Maintain and reconcile sales invoicing with the Placement Table to ensure accurate invoices are produced.
  • Work closely with the Placement Team and other staff to ensure invoices are accurately produced and assist in the IPAs sent by the Local Authorities.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements, allocating customer receipts and other financial accounts.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a finance team, with working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Xero.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
What We Offer

Up to £27,000 per annum, plus benefits.
