In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety of our clients and the public by identifying and assessing potential asbestos-containing materials within buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough asbestos surveys adhering to HSE guidelines and regulations.
  • Identify and sample suspected asbestos-containing materials.
  • Record accurate and detailed survey findings using digital or paper-based systems.
  • Assess the condition and risk of identified asbestos materials.
  • Provide clear and concise reports to clients, including recommendations for management or removal.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of asbestos legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Certification or qualification in asbestos surveying (P403, P404 certification or RSPH equivalent).
  • Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor, ideally within a similar role or environment.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos-related legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately record and document survey findings.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with survey software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
