About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Buckinghamshire Council. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our school buildings and grounds.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, safe, and clean environment for users of the school buildings and grounds
• Perform security duties as directed on school premises and site
• Work collaboratively with other caretakers and facilities staff to ensure the smooth operation of the school
• Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance plans and schedules
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements

• Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team
• Basic DIY skills and knowledge of maintenance practices
• Basic IT knowledge and proficiency in using software applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
