The Role

We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our schools in East London. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students' academic, social, and emotional development, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals in partner schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for students with SEND.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teachers.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers.
  • Support students during school activities, outings, and events.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEND practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.
