Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations at Edwalton Golf Centre, ensuring compliance with company standards, including Health & Safety regulations, staff management, legal compliance, service delivery, and marketing strategies.
Golf Operations:
- Familiarize yourself with the Company Quality Manual and Safe Operating Procedures.
- Ensure efficient operation and presentation of all golf-related activities.
- Conduct daily inspections and report any issues.
- Manage the maintenance and presentation of the buggy and trolley hire fleet.
- Adhere to financial controls, including till operations and end-of-day reporting.
- Ensure proper execution of food and beverage procedures within the clubhouse.
- Complete end-of-day cleaning to maintain a welcoming environment.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Implement and follow all company Health & Safety policies.
- Conduct daily inspections and document any faults.
- Report incidents in accordance with company protocols.
Human Resources Duties:
- Support the Centre Manager in maintaining staff performance and standards.
- Participate in site meetings as necessary.
Booking Management:
- Oversee tee, buggy, and coaching booking systems.
- Review bookings for catered events and ensure necessary preparations.
- Respond to and document all inquiries effectively.
- Prepare facilities for block booking activities.
Sales and Marketing:
- Assist the Centre Manager in fostering a sales-oriented culture within the team.
- Collaborate on the Sales & Marketing Plan to achieve sales targets.
- Ensure efficient execution and reporting of marketing activities.
Member Management:
- Maintain the member database and accurately record member arrivals.
Retail Oversight:
- Ensure high merchandising standards in the retail shop.
- Display and update marketing materials and promotions appropriately.
- Maintain stock levels and presentation of golf retail items.
- Conduct end-of-month stock takes as required.
Personal Attributes:
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation.
- Flexibility in approach to various duties.
- High energy and enthusiasm.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to identify and seize opportunities for improvement.
- Commitment to a culture of Health and Safety compliance.
Conditions of Employment:
Title: Duty Manager
Reporting To: Centre Manager
Grade: Junior Manager
Remuneration: Based on skills and competencies
Pension: Eligibility for company pension scheme
Holidays: As per individual contract
DBS: This position is subject to a DBS check.
