This is an exciting chance for a Property Lawyer to become part of a forward-thinking legal practice in Carlisle, where your skills will be valued and career progression actively encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties via phone, email, and in-person meetings to provide updates and ensure accurate record-keeping throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, CQS protocols, and SRA standards by preparing and reviewing necessary documentation in line with legal and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including legal assistants and paralegals, to ensure the smooth running of transactions and that all matters are handled efficiently and to a high standard.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate technical competence in conveyancing and a commitment to delivering excellent client service. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in residential property law, with a proven ability to manage their own caseload.

Essential Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a busy legal practice.
  • Technical knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards, including AML, CQS, and SRA regulatory requirements.
  • Competent use of MS Office programs and the ability to quickly learn new case management software.
