About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Governance Officer to join our team at Totally plc. As an Information Governance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and implement information governance policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Monitor compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, data subject access requests, and other relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with our Data Protection Officer to coordinate policies, guidance, and training.
  • Liaise with key contacts across the organization to ensure timely delivery of records management projects.
  • Promote a culture of data protection awareness and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Good experience, skill, knowledge, and understanding of current data protection regulations, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation.
  • Knowledge of information governance requirements, such as the Data Security and Protection Toolkit and NHS requirements.
  • Good knowledge of information assurance requirements, including Freedom of Information, Human Rights Act, Environmental Information Regulation, and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
  • Awareness of the privacy by design agenda and requirements for data protection impact assessments and managing subject access requests.
