About the Job

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing and supervising the provision of mental health and evaluation services to residents at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and exit screenings and evaluations to assess the mental health needs of residents
  • Coordinate and evaluate assessment services to ensure the highest level of care
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to subordinate staff
Requirements
  • Ability to assess levels of clinical competencies and develop such competencies in subordinate clinical staff
  • Considerable knowledge of adolescent development and psychopathology
  • Knowledge of psychodiagnostic assessment, psychopathology, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy
  • Required skills include providing clinical supervision, administering and interpreting objective and projective tests, interviewing and psychotherapy techniques, and report writing
  • Ability to function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensure as a clinical psychologist
  • Considerable experience in conducting psychological evaluations and providing psychological services in an institutional setting
  • Experience providing clinical and administrative supervision
  • Additional certification by the Department of Health Professions as a sex offender treatment provider (CSOTP)
