Principal Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary:

Holiferm is a pioneering biotechnology company driving the transition of the surfactant market towards sustainable biosurfactants. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Technician to join our research and development team in Manchester or our commercial plant in Wallasey.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team in driving down manufacturing costs, improving sustainability, and bringing new molecules from ideation to market. Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring experiments and the laboratory are running smoothly, facilitating the results needed to make technical improvements to the process.
• Data entry and input.
• Writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation to ensure a safe and efficient lab environment.
• Aid in the implementation of defined protocols/test methods.
• Carrying out basic repairs and build for laboratory equipment.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, biotechnology, and aseptic techniques. They will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
