Company Overview

A reputable and award-winning engineering organization specializing in comprehensive services, including design, fabrication, machining, installation, and maintenance of bespoke storage solutions, pressure vessels, process piping, and water treatment systems, is seeking to hire a proficient Piping Engineer.

Position Overview

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a new chemical production facility located at a high-tier COMAH site.

Key Qualifications
  • Significant experience in the process chemical sector, particularly within COMAH environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical solutions, oversee projects, and cultivate essential client relationships.
  • Expertise in CAD software with a strong understanding of both 2D and 3D engineering drawings; experience with Cadworx is advantageous, though training may be provided.
  • Strong skills in project management, problem resolution, and client interaction.
  • Familiarity with piping design standards, especially ASME B31, and understanding of the project lifecycle from FEED to construction, including critical stages like HAZOP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with point cloud data manipulation to support design processes.
Piping Design Responsibilities
  • Create 3D models for plant layout, skid structures, and piping arrangements, and generate drawings/documents for review.
  • Interpret vendor equipment specifications and integrate them into the working CAD model.
  • Engage in design evaluations and client piping assessments.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines and project management teams.
Additional Duties

Conduct site assessments, prepare drawings, and organize project documentation to support proposals. Ensure adherence to piping specifications and design codes in accordance with ASME standards.

Technical Support
  • Provide expert technical guidance and assistance to internal sales teams and clients.
