About the Role:

RPS Group is seeking an experienced Civil/Highway Engineer to join our progressive business and service our clients. This role will be within the infrastructure team, working on projects that include Aviation and/or Highway based projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discipline lead for the production of 3D models using Civil 3D modelling software
  • Convert 3D drawings into detailed designs
  • Efficiently coordinate the production of detailed drawing and specification output applying expert technical knowledge in line with relevant legislation and industry standards
  • Complete design models, calculations, and sketches in collaboration with other design disciplines
  • Assist in overseeing drawing production and verify work quality from colleagues
  • Assist in the review of consultants' and contractors' design proposals relevant to the role
  • Manage the upload and download of documents within the document management systems
  • Adhere to BIM protocols and office document standards
  • Provide essential support on projects
  • Assist in preparing fee proposals
  • Attend and actively contribute to project and client meetings
  • Attend site inspections and produce surveys when required

Requirements:

  • Preferably experienced within the Aviation or Highways sector with a HND
  • Proficient in creating Civil 3D models and extracting sections and quantities from the model
  • Knowledge of industry design guides
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
  • Experienced in the use of engineering software
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and of time and budget implications
