Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our client's R&D function in Dorchester. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for participating in and reviewing mechanical design solutions to ensure they meet customer needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to technical team members throughout all phases of the product development process.
  • Ensure that all functional and non-functional performance requirements are met and that design solutions are robust and cost-effective.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanical Engineering department to develop mechanical design solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Electro-mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD and other related software-aided design tools.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D optical and laser-based vision systems.
  • Experience with Robots and robot control systems (FANUC & KUKA preferable).
  • Previous experience delivering statistical analysis of experimental, test, and quality data.
  • Proven ability to conceive and develop innovative solutions.
  • A degree in Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in the Automotive or aerospace sectors.
  • Prior experience with electro-mechanical power, torque, and efficiency calculations.
  • Experience managing Pneumatic actuation and controls.
  • A track record of new Product Introduction (NPI) methods and practices.
  • Bills of Material Structure & Creation.
