Madisons Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing costs and ensuring value for money on construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all costs related to dedicated projects, from initial calculations to final figures.
- Minimise costs and enhance value for money while maintaining impeccable standards and quality.
- Take the commercial lead on various projects, with a proven track record on profitable projects and commercial awareness.
- Prepare tender documents from professional drawings, obtain tenders, and check competence of received tenders.
- Prepare documentation for sub-contract instructions, cost analysis, and value engineering.
- Identify proposed overspend, check and measure sub-contractors' valuations, and advise on cost-effective construction.
- Attend professional and site progress meetings, challenge and approve proposed variations, and liaise with the Purchasing Manager.
- Provide up-to-date analysis on ongoing contracts and sub-contractors, and quantify materials.
