Join Our Team as a Derivatives Lawyer

We are seeking a highly skilled derivatives lawyer to join our team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). As a derivatives lawyer, you will play a critical role in providing legal coverage related to the trading and documentation of OTC derivatives, cleared swaps, futures, repo, cleared repo, FX prime brokerage, and other transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on derivatives transactions and documentation
  • Work closely with industry groups, the asset management business, and other stakeholders to implement global regulatory changes affecting the trading and documentation of derivatives transactions
  • Collaborate with the EMEA Asset Management Legal team and the global GSAM Derivatives Legal team to provide ongoing support with respect to trading and markets on behalf of GSAM mutual funds, private funds, alternative investment funds, and institutional clients
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of related legal experience post-qualification in a reputable law firm, fund, asset management firm, or investment bank
  • Experience with pension funds/schemes a plus, but not required
  • Outstanding law firm and law school credentials - US or UK legal qualification preferred
  • High level of initiative, integrity, organizational, and commercial instincts
