Food Safety and Brand Protection Specialist

Ecolab, a leading provider of food safety and brand protection solutions, is seeking a part-time Contractor/Freelance Food Safety and Brand Protection Specialist based in Plymouth.

Our team of specialists provides customized, comprehensive on-site evaluations and training to help our clients maintain the highest standards in food safety, cleanliness, guest experience, and brand protection. These programs help our clients meet their expected quality standards through on-site evaluations and customized training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct food safety, brand standards, and workplace health and safety evaluations at client locations
  • Consult, coach, and train clients on the latest food safety, health, and hygiene practices
  • Work with account management teams to resolve client challenges
  • Perform a budgeted number of audits weekly to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Access and leverage industry-leading food safety practices and ongoing, active monitoring of health inspection information
  • Provide accurate reporting and ensure effective customer communication and relationships
Requirements:
  • Completed bachelor's degree in food science-related subject
  • Food safety certifications preferred, such as HACCP, ISO22000, BRC, or NEHA (RS, REHS, or CP-FS) credentials
  • Retail food safety experience and reviews of brand standards
  • Teaching or coaching experience in a food-related field
  • Strong relationship management and advanced consulting skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively without supervision, demonstrate initiative, common sense, and superior decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks, and work efficiently against deadlines
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Level 4 Food Safety qualification
  • Completed bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in food service or hospitality; or demonstrated experience in the food/hygiene industry
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends depending on business needs
  • A valid driver's license
  • No immigration sponsorship available
