Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Input: Provide technical input in support of offshore export cable selection and refinement, ensuring that the chosen cables meet the project's technical requirements.
- Cable Route Survey: Coordinate cable route survey scopes and assess cable burial risk/opportunities across proposed routes, ensuring that the cable installation is safe and efficient.
- Inter-Array Cable Layouts: Develop and optimize inter-array cable layouts, taking into account the project's technical and commercial requirements.
- Cable Installation Methodologies: Define cable installation methodologies in support of project consenting inputs, ensuring that the chosen methods meet the project's technical and commercial requirements.
- Cable Rating Constraints: Assess cable rating constraints along both onshore and offshore export cable corridors, ensuring that the chosen cables meet the project's technical requirements.
- Execution Strategy: Develop an execution strategy for both export and inter-array cables, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Supply Chain Engagement: Support engagement with the supply chain, ensuring that the project strategy aligns with market expectations and that the chosen suppliers meet the project's technical and commercial requirements.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise: Proven technical expertise in electrical cable engineering, with a strong understanding of offshore wind development and cable installation.
