Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical & Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering electrical services to various sites in the Asphalt, Aggregate, and Concrete sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibration Expertise: Fine-tune weighing, temperature, and level equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Installation Mastery: Install, modify, and commission new plant equipment to uphold high standards.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Identify and repair faults on plant control systems efficiently.
  • Maintenance Excellence: Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on instrumentation, control, and automation equipment.
  • Safety Priority: Ensure installations and maintenance are carried out safely by conducting risk assessments and creating method statements.
  • Technical Support: Provide guidance and training to technical trainees.
  • Rapid Repairs: Investigate and repair plant failures promptly to minimize production downtime.

Requirements:

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and fault-find from schematic drawings, experience with inverter drives and PLCs.
  • Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant operations and control systems.
  • Hands-On Experience: Background in calibration and maintenance of instrumentation.
  • Qualifications: HNC level or City and Guilds NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical subject.
  • Mobility: UK driving licence and willingness to work nationwide.
  • Physical Fitness: Capable of working at heights and flexibility for out-of-hours work.
