Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Design Technician to join our team at Francesca's Recruitment Ltd. As a CAD Design Technician, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model existing products and their components using CAD software
  • Create essential drawing packs and update BOM listings
  • Handle multiple priorities while ensuring deadlines are met
  • Provide regular updates to your line manager on project progress
  • Transfer CAD/CNC programme data to new media and ensure accuracy
  • Produce daily run programmes for CNC machines
  • Verify and correct bills of material as needed
  • Update BOMs and production routings on the ERP system
  • Check CAD drawings against actual production parts, logging and amending discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in engineering
  • Awareness of general manufacturing techniques and methods
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in 3D modelling CAD
