Job Title: Assistant Geo-Environmental Engineer

About the Role:

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Assistant Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our team in Derby. As an Assistant Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of geo-environmental projects, working closely with senior engineers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site work as required, including logging of soils and rock to BS/Eurocode, sampling, monitoring, and scheduling.
  • Project management, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with the required scope of works within budget and ensuring junior members of staff are aware of their responsibilities and undertake their work in a safe and competent manner.
  • Interpret data and undertake report writing to a suitable professional standard.
  • Competent in undertaking human health risk assessments and controlled water risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • A minimum degree-level qualification in an appropriate engineering or science discipline.
  • Previous relevant experience.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Holebase SI, Surfer, MS Project, and preferably CAD or GIS.
  • A suitable level of H&S and QA, preferably holding a CITB Managers Safety Training Scheme card.
  • A full UK driving license.
