Job Title: General Counsel

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to lead the legal function across our Group. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for providing expert legal advice to senior leaders at board level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the legal department in providing strategic legal advice to the business.
  • Provide expert legal advice to senior leaders at board level on all aspects of the business.
  • Lead and manage corporate M&A activities, including due diligence, negotiation, and completion of transactions.
  • Oversee the drafting and negotiation of various commercial agreements, taking a hands-on approach for significant contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, including clients, partners, and suppliers.
  • Manage and develop teams across the business globally, with oversight of core international legal functions, corporate governance, and ESG.
Requirements:
  • An English qualified solicitor with at least 10 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Proven track record of operating at an international level, with experience of managing legal teams and people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Commercial/business outlook to their work, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions.
