The School

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychology Graduate to join our team at one of the top SEN schools in Surrey. Our school provides a safe and supportive learning environment for children with complex learning, social, and communication difficulties, including physical disabilities.

We offer a range of therapies, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, and speech and language therapies, as part of a young person's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Our team works closely with therapists to ensure the physical and emotional support of our children.

Our school has excellent facilities, including a therapy pool, sensory rooms, and I-Gaze technology, and provides on-site training and support to help our staff progress in their careers.The Children

We work with children who have various special needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Physical Disabilities. Some of our children are non-verbal or require a degree of personal care.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Providing assistance and support for children before, during, and after lessons
  2. Assisting children to understand and participate in tasks in an appropriate way
  3. Encouraging the development of appropriate social skills
  4. Ensuring individual student records are maintained
  5. Helping to build confidence and motivation
  6. Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
  7. Working with managers and employees to support the developing culture of the organisation
Requirements

We are looking for a Psychology Graduate who is passionate about working with children and young people with special needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be committed to providing high-quality support to our children.
