Available Position: Control Systems Specialist

This role is hands-on and centers around the development of systems and software. You will take charge of the technical design and development processes, ensuring adherence to high standards while working autonomously. The position covers all facets of control system design, from the initial identification of requirements to final delivery, including software development, calibration, and deployment. Familiarity with various components of vehicle electronic systems, such as vehicle architecture, wiring harnesses, sensors/actuators, and systems integration, is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing vehicle-level system architecture
  • Developing high and low voltage, as well as communication systems
  • Creating integration designs for vehicle electrical systems
  • Conducting safety assessments and implementing design methodologies
  • Developing real-time embedded control software
  • Designing and implementing testing rigs
  • Performing application testing, calibration, and validation
  • Documenting all phases of the development process

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in software tools such as Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, and PC applications (e.g., Visual Studio)
  • Experience in simulation, model development, data generation, and analysis
  • Competence in data logging and analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication systems, including CAN and LIN, along with related tools (e.g., PEAK, Vector CANalyzer/CANoe)
  • Strong familiarity with PC applications like Word, Excel, Visio, Project, etc.

Preferred Skills: (Experience in some or all of the following is advantageous)

  • Design of vehicle systems architecture
  • Wiring harness design
  • Safety analysis, including FMEA and HazOP methodologies
  • Testing, calibration, and validation of electronic systems
  • Understanding of mechanical, thermal, and other vehicle systems
  • Familiarity with ISO26262 standards
  • Knowledge of automotive quality systems and processes
  • Practical skills: wiring harness assembly and repair, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience

Location: This position is based in a region accessible via major transport routes.

Compensation Package: Competitive, commensurate with skills and experience.
