About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team at FPCR. As a key member of our ecological consultancy, you will be responsible for leading and delivering high-quality work for our clients, conducting ecological surveys, and providing expert advice on biodiversity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from start to finish, providing expert advice on ecology and biodiversity
  • Plan and conduct ecological surveys to assess and mitigate potential environmental impacts
  • Prepare comprehensive ecological reports and strategies, including biodiversity net gain assessments
  • Implement effective mitigation measures to enhance biodiversity and protect ecological features
  • Mentor junior staff and share your expertise to support their professional development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded

Requirements:

  • Degree in Ecology or a related field
  • At least 45 years of experience in ecological consultancy and project management
  • Expertise in biodiversity net gain and complex report writing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and GIS software
  • Membership in a relevant professional body
  • Full UK driving license
